The 'Alice' design has been adapted from an early 18^th century pillow cover. English embroidery was influenced during this period by the designs of woven silks and used as an alternative to woven fabrics. This beautiful silky decorative throw is scattered with embroidered floral motifs, ribbons and pin tucks.
